Dog Massage

Why is massage worth trying for your dog?

Just as for humans, massage can be very beneficial to our four-legged friends.

Massage therapy delivers several positive outcomes, such as:

  • Pain Relief: Alleviating discomfort and easing muscle tension.
  • Improved Circulation: Enhancing blood flow to support healing and overall health.
  • Increased Flexibility: Boosting your pet’s range of motion for easier movement.
  • Stress Reduction: Helping to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.
  • Enhanced Recovery: Aiding in recovery after surgery or injury by reducing inflammation, improving mobility and easing secondary muscle tension due to imbalanced movement after surgery.
  • Better Overall Well-Being: Contributing to a happier and healthier life.

Whether you’re booking this session to ease your pup’s muscle tension or to give your furry friend some much-needed relaxation, it’s a positive experience for your dog!

What we do at High Five Paws:

At the beginning of the session, I’ll check in with you about any concerns, do a quick assessment of your dog’s movement and restrictions and discuss how your furry friend has been recovering since their last appointment.

I’ll apply a blend of massage techniques to help relax your dog’s body, using gentle to medium pressure along with manipulation of soft tissues and joints for therapeutic benefits. I’ll always prioritize your dog’s comfort by taking a gentle, gradual approach and adjusting the pressure to a level that allows your dog to remain relaxed.

The massage session takes 30 minutes.
